Suzuki unveils all-new DR-Z4S, DR-Z4SM at EICMA 2024

MANILA: Suzuki Motor Corporation has unveiled the latest iterations of the DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM motorcycles at the ongoing Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori (EICMA) 2024.

    All-new Suzuki DR-Z4S

    The all-new Suzuki DR-Z4S is a dual-purpose motorcycle, which the marque noted, can be enjoyed in a wide range of situations — from city riding to serious off-roading.

    It is equipped with a four-stroke, single-cylinder, dual overhead camshaft engine with a displacement size of 398 cubic centimeters with liquid cooling technology.

    Suzuki equipped the DR-Z4S dual sport motorcycle with the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), which includes traction control, three selectable riding modes, and an anti-lock braking system (ABS), front and rear.

    It measures 2,270 millimeters (mm) long, 885 mm wide, and 1,235 mm tall. Its wheelbase is at 1,495 mm and clears the ground by 300 mm.

    The Suzuki DR-Z4S rides on a 21-inch wheel at the front wrapped in an 80/100 tube-type tire and an 18-inch wheel at the rear with a 120/80 tube-type tire.

    All-new Suzuki DR-Z4SM

    As for the all-new Suzuki DR-Z4SM, it has an overall length of 2,195 mm, an overall width of 885 mm, and an overall height of 1,190 mm.

    It has a shorter wheelbase at 1,465 mm and has a lower ground clearance of 260 mm.

    Wheel-wise, the all-new Suzuki DR-Z4SM rides on 17-inch wheels — front and back. The tire at the fore is 120/70 while the rear tire is 140/70. Both of which are tube-type tires.

    It uses the same powerplant as the aforementioned all-new Suzuki DR-Z4S and is also equipped with the company’s S.I.R.S technology (rear-only ABS).
