TVS Motor PH launches sporty Apache RR310, Ntorq 125

MANILA:  TVS Motor Company — which claims to be the third-largest manufacturer in its home country of India — aims to increase its presence in the Philippines with the Apache RR310 sports bike and Ntorq 125 scooter. 

As it boasted in a release, TVS also ranks in the top 10 motorcycle makers globally, exporting to over 70 countries. Here in the Philippines, TVS has over 500 sales and service outlets, and is distributed by Global Automobile Traders FZCO.

The Apache RR310 and Ntorq 125 both feature RT-Fi (Race Tuned Fuel Injection) in their engines. "The RT-Fi technology is specially designed to deliver superior performance with better real throttle feel," the motorcycle maker said.

Powering the Apache RR310 is a 312cc, four-stroke, four-valve, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, producing 34hp and 27Nm of torque.

The bike is equipped with configurable ride modes to suit any road condition: Urban, Rain, Sport, and Track. For better cornering grip, the bike's wheels are shod in Michelin Road 5 tires.

On the tech aspect, the bike has a Multi-Information Race Computer with Control Cubes & Bluetooth SmartXonnect technology. With the Bluetooth, a mobile app can be connected, which then offers multiple data points on post-ride analysis, turn-by-turn navigation, and call functionality. 

During the virtual launch of the motorcycles, TVS Motor Philippines Sales Head Gary Gomez said that the RR310 is ideal for those who ride in the track and mountain roads.

The Ntorq 125 also features SmartXonnect,which includes more gadgets such as last parked location assist, service reminder, trip meter and multi-ride statistic modes Street and Sport.

With RT-Fi, the Ntorq's 125cc engine produces 6.9kW and 10.5Nm. The scooter possesses "racing pedigree," as described by Gomez.

"The smart features of TVS Apache RR 310 and TVS Ntorq 125 are perfect to cater to the connected needs of the customers," President Director for TVS Motor Company Indonesia J Thangarajan stated. 

He added: "We are committed to enhancing our ownership experience for the customers with the diverse product range.”

Also in the virtual launch, TVS Motor Company Philippines also reiterated that it is planning to increase spare parts and service availability.
