MANILA: Yamaha Motor Philippines Incorporated (YMPH) broke two Guinness World Records (GWR) last weekend.

    “This Guinness World Records Official Attempt goes to show how strong the relationship between the brand and its community and how the ‘Revs Your Heart’ slogan constantly defines the purpose of having a Yamaha — it is to feel kando and experience to be part of an evolving community of riders,” YMPH wrote in a press statement.

    Kando, for the uninitiated, is a Japanese term for the simultaneous feelings of deep satisfaction and intense excitement we experience when encountering something of exceptional value.

    Despite not breaking the record for the largest number of Yamaha motorcycles in a parade, YMPH continues to hold the title with a total number of 1,208 participants, which it set back in 2014.

    Yamaha Motorshow 2024 

    During the said affair, YMPH also kicked off the Yamaha Motorshow 2024. The event hosted some of the motorcycle brand’s best models.

    To note, its current Philippine-market lineup includes the likes of daily commuters such as the Mio Sporty, Mio Gear, and Mio Aerox; underbone motorcycles like the Sniper 155; the PG-1 moped; the MT-10 hypernaked bike; the Tenere 700 adventure motorcycle; as well as the XSR 900 classic two-wheeler.
