Yamaha Motor PH refreshes Mio Fazzio
YMPH drops old pastel color options
MANILA: Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) has given the Mio Fazzio a minor refresh. These include three new hues and a few updates to the motorcycle’s mechanical and electrical appointments.

The refreshed model now has new decals, redesigned side mirrors, and an updated charging port, to name a few.The reveal of the the upgraded models was held last Friday at Bloc 10, at Filinvest Alabang. To much fanfare, YMPH has partnered with South Trading Post (a local flea market organizer) and influencers who appeal to the target market of the Yamaha Mio Fazzio — the Gen Zs.
“The future is all about this generation,” YMPH Marketing Section Manager Toni Acuesta said during the presentation of the updated small displacement scooter.
“We’re the only brand coming up with this kind of motorcycle, and we’re talking about what this generation can bring to the future… As much as we can, we try to make sure that this generation can easily relate to this motorcycle because this Mio Fazzio is the icon of this generation,” he added.
New hues
YMPH presented three new colorways that speak to many of today’s motorcycle buyers. Below are the said paint options:
- Pastel Green
- Ivory White
- Black
These three hues effectively replace the old pastel paintwork of the motorcycle, which were Ivory White, Matte Orange, and Pastel Blue.
“This 2024, these new colors are about expressing what really makes sense to you as an individual… We want Yamaha to be a brand that enables you to express yourself more,” Acuesta noted.
Not too long ago, Yamaha’s subsidiary in Indonesia also updated the Mio Fazzio in their market. Released sometime in October were two new variants, namely Lux and Neo. These new trims offered Indonesian motorcycle enthusiasts new colors like white, silver, yellow, green, and pink.
At that time, a reliable source told Zigwheels Philippines that YMPH would release new colorways before the year ended.
New appointments
On top of a new palette, YMPH gave the Yamaha Mio Fazzio several upgrades. These come in the form of new decals, redesigned side mirrors (which now offer better rearward visibility), a new charging port (which comes off the factory with a USB outlet for smartphone charging), and a new saddle (reshaped for better comfort and with new stitching).
While the new appointments seem to capture the attention of those unfamiliar with the nameplate, a handful of tried and trusted features keep Yamaha Mio Fazzio fans fixated on the stylish two-wheeler.
These features include the hybrid powertrain that propels the Yamaha Mio Fazzio. Sending power to the rear wheel is a 125 cubic centimeter engine with the brand’s Blue Core Hybrid technology.
Per YMPH, the engine’s power-assist system, which augments the driving force when starting from a stop, helps riders enjoy instantaneous assistive power — particularly when riding with a passenger or with uphill starts.
On paper, the hybrid engine dishes out some 8.2 horsepower with 9.9 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. With the power-assist system in play, the Yamaha Mio Fazzio can generate up to 10.6 Nm of pulling power.
Facilitating deceleration and sudden halts is a hydraulic single disc brake at the front and a mechanical leading trailing drum brake at the rear. Suspension-wise the underbone frame rests on a telescopic fork at the fore and a swing-type setup at the back.
Variants, pricing
The upgraded Yamaha Mio Fazzio is offered in a single variant and is priced at P93,900.
