MANILA: The Yamaha Philippines Racing Team has found success in local competition after encountering setbacks in the international racing scene.

According to YMPH, the team will compete again from September 13-15 in Malaysia.Per the local arm of the Japanese motorcycle brand, Yamaha Philippines Racing Team riders McKinley Kyle Paz and Gian Carlo Mauricio competed in the recently held Inside Racing Grand Prix.
The two achieved victories at the 300V Sprint Race Super Open UB GP and Motul Super Open UB GP. Paz finished first after starting third on the grid, while Mauricio finished third despite starting seventh on the grid.
In the Super Open category, the two experienced riders dominated the race with Paz finishing first and Mauricio trailing behind.
Soon after, the two Yamaha Philippines Racing Team bets entered the RUGP, a race that was initially not part of their schedule.
Despite the spontaneous race, Paz and Mauricio still dominated the Diablo Cup UB155 LTD GP and UB155 Open SP.
“These string of competitions on home soil should help prepare the riders for Round 5 of the ARRC (Asia Road Racing Championship) in Malaysia at the Sepang International Circuit on September 13-15,” the company said in a press release.
