Yamaha Philippines launched the 2019 MT-15
MANILA: Yamaha asserted its presence at the 13th Inside Racing Bike Fest and Trade Show by launching the new MT-15. The three-day long Racing Bike Fest opened its gate for the public on March 22nd and is organised by one of the leading motorcycle magazines, ‘Inside Racing Magazine’. Held at the World Trade Centre Metro in Manila it gives companies like Honda and Yamaha a chance to preview their latest offerings.
Speaking about the 2019 Yamaha MT-15, it comes embellished with "Dark side of Japan" theme, which is also applied to all the 2019 MT-series models. The new two-wheeler flaunts an Ice Fluo color scheme, marked by a white tank and red wheels. What highlights the exterior is its aggressive body design with many characteristic cuts and an overall naked outfit. Sharp curves and LED headlight at the front are the visible inspirations taken from Yamaha’s flagship MT-10. Moreover, the LED headlamp is housed in such a way that resembles the eyes and mouth of a creature.
Moving to the heart, the motorbike is powered by the 155 cc, liquid-cooled engine, the same mill that features in the new R15. The mill churns out a maximum power of 19.3 PS and a peak torque of 14.7 Nm. Both of them come at the rev ranges of 10,000 rpm and 8,500 rpm, respectively. The MT-10 specs sheet includes a slipper clutch, upside-down fork, and disc brakes for both the front and rear. It also equips a fuel tank with a capacity of 10-litre.
The MT-15, which replaces TFX 150, will be available with an SRP of Php 159,000 at all Yamaha dealers.
