Honda is not a new name in the Philippines automotive market and has been appreciated for its sumptuous fleet with cutting-edge technology. Keeping the same traits in mind, the automaker launched its Mobilio MPV in the year 2001 and since then there was no need to look back. The manufacturer gave modifications and tweaks to this MPV over the years to keep it updated and as per the needs of the customers. The stylish MPV has a close rivalry with Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Avanza in its segment and has managed to clock a respectable sales figure over its short time span in the market.

    Honda Mobilio Interior & Features

    Honda has designed its Mobilio keeping the comfort and convenience of the occupants in mind. The ergonomic layout of this MPV ensures that there is enough space for all the 7 passengers even if they have to travel to lengths. The all black interior offers a sporty feel and the chrome accents at the steering and infotainment facility add elegance to it. The seats have been wrapped with upgraded fabric upholstery which looks decent enough for an MPV of this class. For the convenience of the passengers, there are power door and windows, sliding and reclining bucket type front seats with fixed headrests and manual air conditioner. Also, entertainment onboard is taken good care of and a facility comprising 2 to 4 speakers depending on the trim with USB, AUX, and Bluetooth are offered. The 1.5 V Navi CVT Limited Edition and 1.5 RS Navi CVT trims are additionally privileged with a 7-inch touchscreen with navigation and CD/DVD. Along with all these features, a trunk worth 223-litre is also offered, which can be expanded to a maximum of 521-litre after split folding the rear seats to flat.

    Honda has ensured that its 7-seater family MPV has an attractive styling to appeal to the customers. The front of the Honda Mobilio resembles Honda’s Brio and Amaze. The thick chrome finishing at the front radiator grille gives an upper class feels while the sharp headlamps merging into this grille make it look wider and more sophisticated. The crisp creases all over the side and front profile give a sporty touch to this family MPV. Dark side pillars and uplifted rear improves the aesthetics of this car in an effective manner. Honda Mobilio has a compact structure in comparison to its closest competitors but still, it shows a sturdy and strong stance while running on the road. A perfect fusion of contemporary styling with functionality and practicality, this Honda drive has 15-inch alloy wheels with 185/65 R15 tires which ensure stability and safety while running on any terrain.

    Honda Mobilio Engine & Fuel Consumption

    Honda is well known for its cutting edge technology which is provided through its efficient i-VTEC engines throughout its fleet. Honda Mobilio is no exception and comes packed with a 1.5-litre chain drive SOHC engine irrespective of the trims. This engine is good enough to knock out a maximum power output counting to 120 PS at 6600 rpm along with a maximum torque showing 145 Nm at 4600 rpm. While the numbers look pretty good on the chart, the engine is responsive with both of its transmissions whether it is 5-speed manual or CVT mated with Honda patent highly advanced Earth Dreams Technology which boosts the overall performance of the engine. Even in comparison to its closest competitors, this engine sounds a better performer. This engine is in compliance with Euro 4 emission rating ensuring that the carbon emissions are within the limits. Talking about the fuel economy of this drive, you can expect it to run up to 10.8 kmpl in city drives and 14.1 kmpl on highways maintaining a combined mileage of 12.4 kmpl in standard conditions. Though this family drive is not meant to race on the tracks still the acceleration is decent enough counting to 13 seconds from naught to 100 kmph with a top speed attaining to 120 kmph.
