About Maserati Philippines
Established in Italy, Maserati is a brand that was founded by the Maserati brothers Carlo, Alfieri II, Bindo, Ettore, Ernesto, and Mario in 1914. Having its own specialty over auto racing, the brand has its rich history for speed and design.
Being already involved in the racing field, the brand enjoyed its own share of fame while starting its initial races in Diatto. However, it was at the time of 1926 when Maserati had launched its own car, the Tipo 26 (Type 26). It was after their initial success over the 26 when Maserati marque was successfully formalized.
Coming over to the logo design, it was inspired by the Trident of Neptune. Maserati has known to adapt to the logo in 1932 as it is an implication of strength and vigor. It was ever since the production and expansion of the cars that the Maserati brothers decided to continue building their legacy over-designing the best cars and winning races.
Just like any other car company in the world, Maserati has also been in the news for undergoing many ownership changes. It was in 1937 when the Maserati brothers sold the company to Adolfo Orsi who consolidated the brand and also gave the rights over it to the Maserati brothers. It was in 1968 when the company decided to shift its focus from tracks to roads.
Maserati arrived in the Philippines in the first quarter of 2012. At the time of its arrival, the brand was served under Autostrada Motore Inc. Currently, the brand offers a total of five cars in the country with its chart-toppers being the Maserati Quattroporte, Maserati Granturismo, and Maserati GranCabrio. Unlike every other company, Maserati is also looking forward to extending its roots into electrification. Lastly, the brand has launched MC20 as its new super sports car for the present year.
