The interiors of SLK are a perfect symbiosis of uncompromising sportiness and a great deal of space and comfort. The Roadster is powered by either a 1.8-Litre V4 or 3.5-litre V6 engine that delivers a staggering performance to thrill the occupants in an effective manner. The smaller power unit delivers a power output of 135 – 150 kW at 5250 – 5500 rpm while the peak torque measures 270 – 310 Nm at mere 1800 -4300 rpm. For the 3.5 litre engine, the maximum power delivered by the engine measures 225 kW at 6500 rpm and the peak torque measures 370 Nm at mere 3500 – 5250 rpm. The Roadster is quite quick in picking up numbers and clocking 100 kmph mark from naught will take a time span of 5.6 seconds. Compared to the kind of power the Roadster delivers, the SLK is quite fair on the economical front, as one can get a mileage of 11.1 kmpl.

With its sportingly tuned suspension, the SLK is already optimally prepared for a dynamic driving style – whilst remaining astonishingly comfortable on different terrain. The braking system employed in the car consists of high performance composite materials which not only ensures the shortest of stopping distances but also offers a braking performance normally found in Motorsport.
