Ssangyong Rexton

The interior of the 2020.5 Rexton is all about premium grade comfort. The smartly designed cabin of the car now picks up on the likes of seat ventilation as a standard in both the 4x2 and 4x4 variants. Further, the automaker has also considered upgrading the technology that rides the car, with a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, paired with 6 speakers to cater to the need of the users.  

Interestingly, SsangYong has also added LED interior lighting to make their offering look more tempting and luxurious. The interiors of the car are covered in brown quilted leather and are further accompanied by a smart hands-free power tailgate and new key fob design.

The SsangYong Rexton is all about refined styling and good looks in its current generation model. The car picks up on a desirable aggressive look, enhanced by the presence of bold strokes that the Korean automaker has penned down across the vehicle. Interestingly, the white colour that the car primarily comes in, adds to the enhanced look of the lines too well. Sharing its design cue shared with the SsangYong Tivoli, the Rexton is only sharper.

Changes around the Rexton are major, starting from its headlight bezel that is now wrapped up in Titanium Gray. The metallic lustre of the new headlight enhances the sportiness that the automaker seeks to achieve with the latest gen offering. Further, the honeycomb grille of the Rexton makes it aggressive on the front itself. Moving to the rear of the car, it gets a spoiler, a rear window wiper, and also similarly aggressive rear light.

The Rexton is indeed a smooth vehicle, in terms of the power delivery and the paddle response that it provides the driver with. The car handles really well in almost every form of terrain and the steering wheel of the car is really responsive as well. Also, the suspension does its job firmly at providing convenient comfort inside the car.

Powering the SsangYong Rexton is a 2.2L e-XDi 220 diesel engine that allows the car to churn out a maximum power output of up to 181 hp, besides allowing the car to be able to give out a peak torque rating of 420 Nm. The powertrain comes mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission, allowing the power delivery to the 4x2 or the 4x4 wheel configuration. The car also comes with a drive mode selector to provide users with a varying driving experience. 

The Rexton continues this year with a comprehensive list of safety features to add up to the impressive list of offerings. The car picks up six airbags, covering the occupants on almost every side, as well as hill descent and stability control. The car also picks up front and rear parking sensors besides a rear-view camera among other features. Braking of the car is held securely with ABS that is further paired to EBD to allow convenience. 

The SsangYong Rexton is indeed one of the best seven-seater options that you can get at the suggested price tag. The impressive feature list and the performance make the car a value for its money. However, the car might not be an option for buyers who prefer the likes of a sedan over an SUV.
