Red XV
I have a 2020 Subaru XV which only have 14K km Odo reading as of today. It's my 5th car overall and 4th car to acquire as brand new. I love almost everything of this car especially its riding comfort. My kids love it too. However, just few months ago I heard an annoying sound that seems to me from the transmission. I think it's in the 1st to 2nd gear, which will occur when you slowly push the accelerator, especially on a moderate uphill road. I brought the car to the dealer and after driving it with the Subaru technician they acknowledged the annoying sound, and I was only advised to shift to another gas brand since according to the service manager it is most likely due to the fuel brand that I used. He also shared his own personal experience w/ his Forester w/c has the same engine as mine. Although I didn't completely buy in to their idea, but still I followed their recommendation to use other brand of fuel. Sad to say, the annoying sound (kalakalakalag.... though not so loud) still there despite using the fuel brand they recommend. Do any XV owners out there experience the same concern? Is this normal w/ Subaru units?
