Ducati Hypermotard Review 2024
Abhishek Katariya says
The Ducati Hypermotard has been given a very sporty and fearless appeal to make it a perfect street-legal supermoto bike. This superbike has gone through a number of renovations and technological advancements on its latest generation models. This motorbike is popular in its segment for its lightweight body structure and fun-to-ride features.
The sporty looks are well compiled with minimalism and aggressiveness that make a very strong appeal. The fully digital gauge has been added just to give it a modern touch in its features. The powertrain is powered by a modern engine that delivers more than enough power to run the vehicle.
Ducati Hypermotard Design
There are slight changes made to the Ducati Hypermotard since the time it got launched and its overall styling has set it out among others. There have been changes at the least and the slim profile has been kept intact perfectly which goes well with the visual appeal of the Motorcycle. The petite front face comprises small all-LED headlamps with daytime running LED and some small wide colored visor placed just above it.
Various LED turn indicators are perfectly placed on the handlebar guards that are meant for the additional purpose of protecting one from frontal influences. Other than these fresh changes received by Hypermotard, it also gets a full TFT instrument console that offers plenty of information on display in a colored panel.
Hypermotard Ride & Handling
The engineers were very much concerned about the riding ergonomics of the Ducati Hypermotard given its design. Later on, there were certain changes made to the trellis and subframe that ended up reducing the weight of the bike to offer better handling. The exhaust system has taken inspiration from the Ducati 916 this is the reason why it releases all of it from beneath the seat.
Exhaust heat goes unnoticed and doesn't affect the rider by making them feel uncomfortable or irritated with the exhaust release. It is a perfect urban bike and offers a very good riding position and is specially built for short trips or for those who are fast on racing tracks.
Ducati Hypermotard Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Ducati Hypermotard is equipped with a four-stroke, L-twin, liquid-cooled engine 937cc engine that is fuel-injected at the same time. The engine has been mildly tweaked with a new and revised performance at higher RPMs. The power output delivered is 115 PS and the peak torque rated is 96 Nm for the 6-speed gearbox that offers slick shifts as well.
The bike has been offered a 14.5-litre tank that keeps it narrow and also improves balance and stability. The design of the tank allows better stability during the transfer of weight making the bike more flexible. This bike has an outstanding performance on almost all kinds of tracks or roads.
Hypermotard Braking & Safety
This bike has got an outstanding braking system as it offers better stopping power than most of its competitors. The setup is so perfect that the breaks work very smoothly on the track and also feel progressive and offer great stability at the same time. The polished set of Ohlins allows it to operate in a very functional way without any disharmony.
Moreover, the Ducati Hypermotard is well equipped with a good set of electronic riding aids based on the riding modes. Other security features include traction control, ABS cornering, and additionally a quick shifter (exclusively for SP). Almost all the premium Ducati motorcycles are well equipped with safety features.
Ducati Hypermotard Verdict
The Ducati Hypermotard has been manufactured with its clutch slightly up and quick shifter down. This is among the finest clutch-free shifters designed to date. There are inclusions of so many new features and components that make it more fun and exciting to ride.
This is very true that it is more expensive than most of its competitors in the market of the Philippines. The admirers of this brand still trust the brand and prove their loyalty towards it by buying their bikes regardless of the price range. Certain flaws are hard to ignore but at the same time, there are qualities of this bike that deserve attention and appreciation.
So if you are willing to ride a beautiful sports bike and have a decent budget for it then this is the best choice for you.
