Recent Updates of Z300
Recently 2018 Z300 was introduced by Kawasaki Australia, though the bike doesn’t look much different from the ongoing model, there are a few tweaks here and there. The Kawasaki Z300 brings back the wild excitement to the 300 cc class via its street-fighter like looks and muscular bodywork. Also, the model now features a super fit and finish that separates it from all the other naked bikes out there. Developing high levels of excitement is its powerful 296cc parallel-twin engine along with the circuit-developed diamond frame. The new Kawasaki Z300 provides an excellent ride quality and high level of performance, thanks to its enhanced braking and suspension system.

The Kawasaki Z300 is the naked street version of the Ninja 300 and focuses on performance with an amazing handling experience. It might not be the most aerodynamic motorcycle from the company but does offer tremendous performance on each twist of the throttle.
Plus, the naked street fighter is great for city riding as well as on the highways due to its versatile build and sturdy components. However, just like the company launched the Ninja 400 this year (2018), it is planning to introduce the Z400 naked street version too. Though it does not have any potent competitor in the segment, it goes up against the likes of the KTM Duke 390 and BMW 310R, both naked bikes. It is priced at around PHP 235,000.
Kawasaki Z300 Design
The Kawasaki Z300 remains true to its Z series name with a complete naked street fighter design. The headlamp, in particular, gets an attractive look with contrasting colour surrounds. The tank cowls on either side appear to be light quarter-fairing and add a fierce look.
The 15-inch wheels are made on attractive alloy design. The engine cowl on the lower side plays a vital role in keeping the engine cooler by a good margin by directing the airflow to it. The diamond frame helps in making the motorcycle more agile while adding a much-needed sturdiness. The split stepped seat is quite comfortable for the pillions as well, unlike the Ninja series, which has a smaller unit at the rear.
Z300 Ride & Handling
The Z300 naked streetfighter motorcycle is known for its amazing handling. No points for guessing, almost all the bikes in this segment offer the best riding dynamics considering the lightweight body and the usage of great chassis frames.
In the case of the Z300, the tube diamond frame is built with high strength steel. The bike is suspended over telescopic forks up front and Uni-Trak monoshock for the rear. The suspension is tuned to be good enough to take on the tight corners at a good lean angle but isn’t hard to pain your back either.
The seat height isn’t very high at 785 mm and makes for a comfortable ride even for the people who aren’t very tall. It weighs around 168 kilograms, but feel light while handling even in busy traffic.
Kawasaki Z300 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Kawasaki Z300 has a high revving and grunty engine under the hood with a very throaty exhaust note. The 296cc liquid-cooled engine comes with two cylinder and parallel alignment, each having four valves.
This motor can make a maximum power of 38.9 hp along with a peak torque of 27 Nm. The power is good enough to zoom through the traffic at ease, leaving the onlooker in awe. The produced power is channelled to the wheel via a 6-speed gearbox. Plus, it is to be noted that the gearbox is very smooth on the shifts and you would feel the annoying clunk while upshifting or downshifting.
Z300 Braking & Safety
The Kawasaki Z300 has disc brakes at both ends, which have quite big pads and strong pistons. They offer great bite each time you pull the brake lever. Apart from this, the company even offers anti-lock braking system to help improve braking and lowering the risk of skidding and losing control when applied at high speed.
Moreover, Kawasaki even offers the side stand warning system on the console so that you don’t start riding the bike without removing it. The adjustable halogen headlamp up front offers great illumination while riding under the night sky.
The tyres have great tread so that the wheel remains planted firmly on the road without being unstable at high speeds.
Kawasaki Z300 Verdict
One thing is for sure, the Kawasaki Z300 does enjoy success in the Philippines market since it does not have a very potent competitor. It does compete with some bikes like the KTM Duke 390 and the BMW 310R, both of which are much more expensive compared to this.
However, if you look at the power production, the Duke is marginally more powerful while the BMW model is underpowered but expensive at the same time.
