Suzuki GD 110

The Suzuki GD 110 gets a simple look similar to any other commuter model. A round shaped headlamp is placed at the front. Moreover, the front park light indicator lamps enhance the safety as well as the convenience of the system. On the console, an analogue odometer and speedometer are there. Also, the bike comes with a 9-litre fuel tank.

Speaking of the suspension, the bike rides on oil-damped, telescopic fork at the front, while on the rear swingarm type suspension is offered. Both of these offer good comfort while riding through the cities and make the pillion, as well as the driver’s ride comfortable.

The Suzuki GD 110 is one of the best commuters to ride. It comes with a kick start system. The two-wheeler gets a powerful engine which combines with a well-tuned dimension, something that is set to deliver a good amount of power and also offer a very stable riding experience.

The 112.8 cc motor is capable of churning out a maximum power of 8 hp along with a peak torque of 8.53 Nm. The maximum horsepower and torque both come at a pretty good rev range of 8,500 rpm and 5,500 rpm, respectively.

The power is sent down to the wheel via a 4-speed manual gearbox. The two-wheeler uses carburettor as the fuel delivery method.

The engine is capable of offering low mechanical losses with a high combustion efficiency. It sets a new standard for the fuel-efficient performance, user-friendly and low-environmental impact operation.

A metal honeycomb oxidation catalyzer is placed inside the muffler. It reduces the hydrocarbon (HC) as well as the carbon monoxide (CO) emissions. The Suzuki Pulsed-secondary AIR-injection (PAIR) system also helps to cut off the emissions by injecting air into the exhaust port.

The Suzuki GD 110 comes with drum brakes on both the wheels. The drum brakes are not affected by water or mud, which means they will be easy to maintain and are durable.

The brakes are good enough to stop the two-wheeler in any condition. Also, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) is not provided. Besides, the system does not make for a great importance in low displacement commuter bikes.

The seat height of the bike is 766 mm, which is excellent enough for all the riders. The kerb weight of a meagre 108 kg makes the handling of the two-wheeler better.

The Suzuki GD 110 is one of the big names in the Philippines among the commuter bikes. The two-wheeler features a pretty conventional design and a good engine. It is fuel efficient as the BS-Type carburettor provides a smooth throttle response. Also, the engine offers good power output in the low-to-mid range.

The two-wheeler comes with a price tag of Php 48,900 and gives a tough competition to the Yamaha YTX 125.
