Suzuki GSX-S750 Design
The GSX-S750 follows the traditional design ethos of Suzuki in the naked roadster category. With a design which is aggressive, it has a pouncing-forward stance. The overall styling is inspired by that of the GSX-S1000 and looks like a scaled-down version of the latter.
The front headlamp is integrated within a sharply styled bikini fairing, with small pilot lamps positioned at the lower edges of the main headlamp. The turn indicators are clear lens units, however, they could have styled in a better way. Same goes for the small tinted visor above the headlamp – it could have been bigger in size in order to be functional in deflecting wind blasts at higher speeds.
The GSX-S750 has a very muscular looking side profile, the majority of credits for which go to the macho looking fuel tank with aggressive cuts and creases flowing downwards. The Z-shaped fuel tank, as well as long and sleek cowl below the engine, exaggerate the design even more. The alloy wheels have a busy design to them, however, the same cannot be said about the single-sided exhaust pipe, which has a plain design.
The lifted up tail section ends up in a pointy LED tail lamp. The GSX-S750 comes with split seats, with the pillion seat lacking any kind of grab rails at the back, thus making it quite uncomfortable for long distance riding.
The trapezoidal shaped fully digital instrument console has every essential data on display, including the speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, selected gear as well as riding mode. The switchgear as well as rearview mirrors exude top notch quality and are ergonomically well placed too.
GSX-S750 Ride & Handling
One of the most decently equipped motorcycles in this category, the Suzuki GSX-S750 comes with robust and reliable hardware. The bike is fitted with inverted hydraulic telescopic forks at the front and a linked monoshock at the rear. The overall suspension is set on a stiffer side, which does take a toll on the ride quality, but makes the GSX-S750 an exceptional handling machine despite its high kerb weight of 215 kg. The seat height of 820 m is quite good for both short as well as tall riders. The braking power from the twin disc brakes at the front and a single disc brake at the rear are phenomenal as well.
Suzuki GSX-S750 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Suzuki GSX-S750 comes with a uniquely configured four-stroke, inline four, liquid-cooled, fuel injected, 749 cc engine. The engine is essentially the same mill which has been doing its duty on the GSX-R750, however, for its street-cred performance, the engine has been re-tuned for a better low-end grunt. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox and produces a maximum power output of 114 PS and a peak torque of 83 Nm.
GSX-S750 Braking & Safety
On the safety front, the Suzuki GSX-S750 fits just in the middle, as it is equipped with only the basics. Apart from the very compulsory dual channel ABS, the GSX-S750 comes with a three-mode traction control which enables the rider to control the bike in various conditions.
Suzuki GSX-S750 Verdict
The Suzuki GSX-S750 perfectly fits the space between being too aggressive or too soft. With its cutting-edge design, Suzuki has shown that it has not played safe at all while crafting the motorcycle. The performance from the inline four-cylinder engine is super smooth and is thrilling without being intimidating at all. On the other hand, the reliable and robust chassis and mechanicals make sure that the GSX-S750 happens to be one of the most practical middleweight naked bikes on sale right now.
