Ural CT 750 Design
The Ural CT 750 features a classic design. It shows relevance to the old model. The design is exemplary and captivates the attention of all riders who are passionate about vintage models. The peculiarities begin with a leading-link front suspension that uses basic steel tubing and a pair of coil-over shocks to articulate the front wheel. The modernization of the induction is hardly visible at first appearance, and the sidecar is similarly archaic, with a boat/plane-like nose section and glass to protect the passenger. A lockable trunk offers 2.9 cubic feet of dry, safe storage, but the Tonneau Cover effectively converts the whole sidecar into cargo space.
A single round halogen bulb sits atop a nacelle that also houses the round analog speedometer. The flange-type, five-gallon gasoline tank completes the vintage look, and it's tough to overlook the real character of the design, which is more about utility than style and unmistakably dated from the IMZ front end to the modest rear fender strut.
CT 750 Ride & Handling
The Ural CT 750 boasts excellent ride quality. It is equipped with a very powerful engine and suspension that can dominate even the most dilapidated roads. The strong braking system also ensures that the rider is always in control of this beautiful ride. The radial R18 tires ensure that the ride quality is terrific. The manual transmission makes sure that shifting is not a problem. There are various ride modes as well that elevate the riding experience. This ride has emerged as one of the most successful rides just because of its exquisite ride quality and handling.
Ural CT 750 Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Ural CT 750 is equipped with a powerful and reliable engine. A flat-twin OHV air-cooled 2 cylinder 4-stroke “boxer” engine delivers the power with a 78 mm bore and stroke for a square layout and moderate, 8.6-to-1 compression ratio. That puts the displacement right at 749cc with a pushrod-actuated valvetrain to keep things simple with only two large poppets per jug. One of the few visible upgrades from the original engine lies in the intake tract. This new version replaces the old carburetor with a throttle-body induction-control unit to help it meet emission standards. Maximum power is available at 5,500 rpm, while maximum torque is available at 4,300 rpm, with a maximum suggested cruising speed of 70 mph and a fuel economy rating of 31-to-37 mpg.
The heads were redesigned with a shorter exhaust port and bigger cooling fins to reduce heat transfer from the exhaust stream and better dissipate that heat. The piston skirts are treated with Teflon to decrease friction and wear, and the compression rings are manganese phosphate-coated with a plasma-sprayed molybdenum treatment on the face for greater durability.
CT 750 Braking & Safety
The Ural CT 750 is equipped with a dual disc Brembo calliper-assisted braking system that ensures the fact that the rider is always in control of this beast. The hydraulic disc brakes ensure that the braking system is effective.
This beautiful ride also adorns a variety of safety features like the pass switch, the side reflectors, the engine check warning, and much more.
Ural CT 750 Verdict
The Ural CT 750 would prove to be the ideal choice for all those individuals who are obsessed with vintage bikes. It is equipped with a powerful and reliable engine and boasts an alluring experience. All the features are of top-notch quality and make sure that it proves to be the most preferable option when it comes to long-distance trips.
