Great for short trips
Riding the MT-09 on short trips is a comfortable and pleasant experience. The seat is spacious enough for me to move and feel comfortable. I can embrace the tank and stretch out without feeling squeezed. However, if I ride for more than an hour, my bum becomes numb, particularly on highways. The bike has Yamaha's innovative third-generation Quick Shift System (QSS), which allows for clutchless downshifts and upshifts. It is well-balanced, and superb on flat roads, but hampered by cheap, simple suspension when the road becomes bumpier.
