Hino FL10 Interior & Features
Inside is a spacious cabin with more headroom and legroom than the 300 Series. The driver and passenger get bucket style seats with contoured cushioning for comfort.
The dashboard is set low and angled in such a way that makes it easy to see everything - whether it’s the road or the gauge meter. Other interior features include power doors, power windows, an air conditioning system, and several storage compartments.
FL10 Exterior
Hino FL10 measures 11,935mm long, 2,490mm wide, and 2,770mm tall. It has a rigid chassis that allows the truck to carry heavy loads and remain stable under difficult driving conditions.
Upfront is a tilting cab, making it easy to maintain the truck and inspect it for problems before a trip. The front grill is segmented into three sections with Hino’s chrome logo at the top. It is flanked by low set headlamps and turn signals on the sides, as well as a flat bumper at the bottom. On both sides of the cab, you get 22-inch wheels, narrow wheel arches, small turn signals, and windshield mounted side mirrors.
Design-wise, the FL10 exudes the look of a classic box-shaped truck. Although the curves give it a polished and less rugged appearance.
Hino FL10 Ride & Handling
It drives best in wide paved roads with moderate curves - such as highways. That being said, it comes with semi-elliptical leaf springs for suspension on both the front and rear. The driver and passenger seats also have their own suspension system. These can be easily adjusted for extra comfort during rides.
The Easy Start (ES) technology reduces driver fatigue. When the clutched is engaged, it automatically releases the brakes whether you’re in forward or reverse gear. Air operated spring brakes provide assistance during parking.
FL10 Engine & Fuel Consumption
Hino FL10 is equipped with the J08E - a 7.7L six-cylinder turbodiesel engine that is mated to a 9-speed manual transmission with Syncromesh and Direct Drive. It churns out 276 horsepower and 824 Nm of torque and can reach maximum speeds of 111 kmph.
The 10-wheeler has a 6x2 wheel drive system that sends power to one of the two rear axles. This minimizes the truck’s rolling resistance and optimizes its fuel efficiency. Fueling the truck is a 320L tank so it can travel long distances.
Hino FL10 Braking & Safety
The built-in ES technology helps the driver to safely manoeuvre the truck during sharp inclines. It maintains the brake force so the truck doesn’t lose control and roll backwards.
Also included in the FL10 are full-air dual circuit brakes with the anti-lock braking system. They come with leading and trailing shoe brake systems and auto brake shoe adjusters. Other safety features include 3-point seatbelts and the Emergency Guard Impact System which reduces the risk of passenger injury in the event of a collision.
