Hino XZU710L Interior & Features
On the inside, the Hino XZU710L carries the same simplistic and easy-on-the-eye design for the cabin. The layout is functional and comes with all the decent basics one expects in a cost-effective light-duty truck.
The overall cabin of the Hino XZU710L has a black theme for the layout, with the asymmetric consoles giving it a widened look. The driver’s cockpit of the Hino XZU710L has a two-spoke steering wheel and a three-part instrument console, the latter of which also has a small LCD screen for the fuel gauge. There are rounded AC vents on either side of the dashboard and two on the corners of the centre console.
The centre console of the cabin of the Hino XZU710L looks wide. It has a 1-DIN music system positioned between the AC vents, while the lower half of the centre console has the panel for AC buttons on the left and open storage space on the right. The passenger side of the dashboard is practical with an upper closed glove box and lower opened glove box and a cup holder.
XZU710L Exterior
For a basic commercial light-duty truck, the Hino XZU710L has a decent visual appeal that looks neither too flashy, nor too dated. It has a simple appeal which makes it look good for its target audience, who prefer a simple no-nonsense form.
At the front, the Hino XZU710L’s profile is divided into two halves. The first and upper half of the Hino XZU710L has a large and angular windscreen, which is slightly curved from the middle. The lower edges of the windscreen have cylindrical mounts for the blacked-out rearview mirrors.
The lower half of the front profile of the Hino XZU710L is what makes the most of the visual appeal of the truck. The lower part of this lower half of the front profile gets trapezoidal headlamp clusters on the lower edges. These clusters come integrated with projector headlamps and clear lens turn indicators above them. Between these headlamp clusters, the Hino XZU710L gets a wide and thick-looking chrome grille with two horizontal slats and a rounded logo of Hino in the middle of the upper slat. The front bumper looks decent and comes with rounded slots for fog lamps which can be fitted after-market.
There is not much to talk about the side profile of the Hino XZU710L, as it looks very conventional and normal. The large trapezoidal side window covers the upper half of the door panels. These door panels come with a couple of curved character lines across their width which rise towards up. The Hino XZU710L comes with blacked-out door handles and steel wheels and does not get steps to climb on inside the cabin.
Hino XZU710L Ride & Handling
The Hino XZU710L gets a basic ladder-on-frame chassis under its skin and is bestowed with a suspension setup of semi-elliptical leaf springs with double-action shock absorbers at the front and semi-elliptical main and auxiliary leaf springs with double-action shock absorbers at the rear. The truck has hydraulic, dual-circuit, vacuum-assisted service brake and mechanical, internal expanding, acting on transmission shaft output parking brake.
XZU710L Engine & Fuel Consumption
Both the variants of the Hino XZU710L come with a 4.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, which is quite big and powerful for the size of the truck. The engine produces 150 PS of maximum power output and 420 Nm of peak torque output and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Hino XZU710L Braking & Safety
The Hino XZU710L comes with a lockable passenger compartment, three-point safety seat belts and ABS in the name of safety.
XZU710L Verdict
The Hino XZU710L has a pleasant design in and out and has compact dimensions for a light-duty truck, which makes it very easy to drive and ferry loads to intra-city destinations.
