MANILA: The Metro Manila Development Authority’s (MMDA) move to ban electric bikes (e-bikes) on major roads in Metro Manila starts today.

    Per MMDA Acting Chairman Attorney Romando Artes, those who will be apprehended violating the aforementioned regulation will face a penalty of P2,500. Further, vehicle impoundment will be levied on those found driving without a license or with an unregistered vehicle.
