Centro Manufacturing Corp launches all-new garbage compactor truck
It is set to help LGUs modernize their waste management fleets

MANILA: Coach and body builder Centro Manufacturing Corporation (CMC) has expanded its business horizons by launching the all-new ShinMaywa 5CBM Garbage Compactor truck at the recently concluded Isuzu Truckfest 2025.
Per the company, the new product was designed to tap the market opportunity created by the Republic Act 9003, otherwise known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Law of 2020. It mandates local government units (LGU) to modernize waste collection systems.
The Centro ShinMaywa 5CBM Garbage Compactor was designed to fit the needs of local waste collection measures thanks to the combination of CMC’s precise crafting quality and the sturdiness of the Japanese-made Isuzu NQR (six-wheeler) light-duty nameplate.
Per the company, the model’s body was made out of anti-corrosive steel, which will help ensure long-term durability even in the harshest environments.

The Isuzu NQR, on the other hand, boasts a powerful engine capable of producing up to 152 horsepower and 419 Newton-meters of torque. It also comes the following features:
- Reverse warning buzzer
- Central locking cab doors
- Air-conditioning system
- Tuner Radio with USB, two speakers
By investing in a ShinMaywa 5CBM Garbage Compactor unit, CMC says that LGUs can be guaranteed an efficient machine that will return smooth waste collection operations.
“With the launch of the Centro ShinMaywa 5CBM Garbage Compactor at Isuzu Truckfest 2025, we are providing LGUs and private operators with a cost-effective and high-performance solution to meet the requirements of RA9003,” President of Centro Manufacturing Corporation Raphael Juan said.
“This is an opportunity not just to comply with the law, but to modernize waste collection for greater efficiency and sustainability,” Juan added.
