Foton turns over 300 trucks to YTO Express PH

MANILA: Foton Motor Philippines, Inc. (FMPI) has handed over 300 trucks to YTO Express Philippines, one of the country's largest logistics firms. The purchase of 300 Foton trucks is said to be part of the YTO Express commitment to achieve a significant increase in mobility and logistics for the benefit of both customers and the national economy. The upgraded fleet should allow for much faster and more effective delivery of goods and services to Filipino customers.

The official turnover took place at the Foton Assembly Plant in Clark, Pampanga last Monday, April 18. Present in the event were FMPI President Erroll Dueñas, YTO Express Philippines Technology Group Corp. Chief Executive Officer Andrew Cai,  YTO Express Philippines Technology Group Corp. Chief Financial Officer Susan Cai, YTO Express Philippines Technology Group Corp. Chief Technology Officer Jelly Lee, YTO Express Philippines Technology Group Corp. Chief Marketing Officer Jon Xu, and YTO Express Philippines Technology Group Corp. Chief Operating Officer Sam Zhang.

“For over a decade, we have been committed to strengthening national mobility by providing dependable commercial vehicles for multiple industries — in public transportation, agriculture, infrastructure — and now, we are propelling e-commerce and delivery services,” Dueñas stated.

According to data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), Foton ranked third among the truck brands in the country in terms of sales in 2021. It is also the first Chinese automaker to enter the highly competitive Top 10 vehicle brands in the Philippines, an achievement it accomplished just a few years ago.

YTO Express Philippines has grown to trust Foton, resulting in partnership solidification. The company purchased a fleet of 300 Foton Tornado M4.2C and Foton M2.6C F-van units.
