Fuso PH presents FJ 2528R, other truck models at Transport & Logistics show

MANILA: Local Mitsubishi Fuso distributor Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP) will showcase its products at the Transport & Logistics Philippines that will commence at the World Trade Center in Pasay City from October 20 to 22.

SFP will also present its Fuso FJ 2528R at the Transport & Logistics Philippines.

Made together with Centro Manufacturing Corporation (CMC), the new F-Wing body, a 32-foot wing van body mounted on the robust Fuso FJ 2528R chassis was updated this year.

The fully-built vehicle comes with an upgraded body highlighting the Nippon Fruehauf design and technology. The new 32ft. F-Wing body became available on FJ 2528R chassis through pre-order arrangement at authorized Fuso dealerships nationwide last March 2022.

By partnering with CMC, SFP aims to provide the highest product quality as the F-Wing body uses lightweight materials for increased service life and maximized cargo capacity which translates to increased customer business’ revenue.

As one of the safest wing van trucks, the fully-build-up vehicle is now equipped with a reverse camera that provides more visibility, and another level of assurance for safe parking maneuvers.

On top of that, SFP is proud to announce that the F-Wing body on the FJ 2528R chassis is the first RORO Ready wing van truck in the country. The fully-build-up vehicle is equipped with a built-in RORO security strap that helps protect both vehicle and cargo against water and wind.

With these added features, SFP continues to commit to a high level of quality and enhanced operational efficiency. The introduction of the new 32 ft F-Wing body on the FJ 2528R chassis together with CMC is in line with SFP’s ambition to create an even stronger presence in the heavy-duty segment in the Philippine market.

According to a report by the Truck Manufacturers’ Association (TMA), Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP) ranked third in terms of sales performance last July.

Fuso truck and bus sales also increased by 26.2% in the first seven months of the year versus the same period in 2021. Fuso’s market share also rose to 11.4%.

Fuso had a 22% market share in the Light-Duty Truck segment or Category 3 in July, placing itself in the second spot. The Fuso Canter FE71 and Fuso Canter FE73 contributed to this achievement.

Fuso has been globally renowned for its light-duty truck offerings and the Canter claims the top share in various markets around the world.

The four-wheeler Canter FE71 is powered by a 3.0-liter turbo direct injection diesel engine that produces 125 ps of power and 294 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the Fuso Canter FE73 is a six-wheeler light truck that is powered by a four-cylinder turbo-intercooler, common-rail direct injection diesel engine that churns out 131 ps of power and 300 Nm of torque.

Both trucks feature a comfortable cabin with reclining seats, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel, and generous legroom.
