Fuso PH Unveils All-New Canter FE71 with Automated-Manual Transmission

MANILA: Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP) launched the all-new Fuso Canter FE71 on Tuesday, July 11, at the Filinvest Tent in Muntinlupa City.

The all-new Fuso Canter FE71 is powered by a Euro 5-compliant 3.0-liter four-inline direct injection diesel engine. It is the first Fuso light-duty truck in the local market to be equipped with the Duonic automated-manual transmission (AMT). Its six-speed dual-clutch transmission enables a smooth performance, better acceleration, fuel efficiency, and comfortable driving experience.

The all-new Fuso Canter FE71 AMT achieved a fuel consumption figure of 11.6km/L over nearly 356km in a simulation of an actual road environment with different driving conditions, road speed limits, and light traffic. This was done with a 1,000kg cargo or 50% of the light-duty truck’s payload capacity. The rating was certified by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP).

Safety is also guaranteed by the all-new Fuso Canter FE71 as it is equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD).

In terms of design, the all-new Fuso Canter FE71 features the V-line concept, angular headlamps, and horizontal character line in the front fascia. The all-new Fuso Canter FE71 is designed with a Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) Body that ensures safer cab-over-engine concepts.

On the inside, the all-new Fuso Canter FE71 comes with a new meter cluster with multi-information display, a tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel, and a dash-mounted gear shift.

The all-new Fuso Canter FE71 is available in four variants with the following prices:

• Fuso Canter FE71 10ft. MT - P1.670 million
• Fuso Canter FE71 11ft. MT - P1.690 million
• Fuso Canter FE71 10ft. AMT - P1.745 million
• Fuso Canter FE71 11ft. AMT - P1.765 million
