Fuso showcases Canter Express modern PUV in General Santos City

MANILA: Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP), the local distributor of Fuso trucks and buses, recently showcased the Canter Express in the General Santos Commercial Vehicle Show (CVS). 

SFP explained why it presented the Fuso Canter Express in the Mindanao city. 

"While GenSan is known for its big fish port and tuna processing facilities, it has continually become more attractive now—with the presence of major economic infrastructure support facilities comparable to international benchmarks," the Fuso distributor explained.

"Several business dealers are also operating... across the busy streets of the city, making it a good venue to present the Fuso modern PUVs."

The Fuso Canter Express can accommodate 24 to 30 people, and is powered by a three-liter turbodiesel engine. 

SFP, together with its dealer Mindanao Integrated Commercial Enterprises, Inc. (MICEI), exhibited the Fuso Canter Express, which is described to possess "quality, durability, and strong performance." 

The GenSan CVS addressed the transport cooperatives' concerns  about the government’s Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP). Through the event, the transport groups were able to fully understand the PUV program toward the new normal, SFP said.

The GenSan CVS was made in partnership National Federation of Transport Cooperative.
