Hyundai HD50S GT Modern PUV Class 4 Receives Certificate of Compliance from DOTr

MANILA: Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai commercial vehicles in the Philippines, has added the Hyundai HD50S GT Modern PUV Class 4 to its model lineup.

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) also granted the Certificate of Compliance (COC) to HARI on July 19, making it the first company to receive a COC for the said PUV category.

HARI was granted the COC for its Modern PUVs Class 1 and 2 in 2019 and for its Modern PUV Class 3 in 2020. By that time, HARI had already gained recognition as the first company in the industry to complete its line of government-certified modern PUVs.

With the recent certification for the Hyundai HD50S Modern PUV Class 4, HARI now stands to be the first company in the Philippines to offer a comprehensive line of vehicles that comply with government regulations, keeping its commitment to be a steadfast supporter of the PUV Modernization Program (PUVMP).

“Hyundai’s truck of all trades, the HD50S, does it again, this time to bring more value to our current Modern PUV fleet offerings. With its new body application, the HD50S Class 4 is intended to connect rural towns to larger cities. That is why it has provisions for cargo, as well as forward-facing seats for all passengers, and a side door entry for easy boarding and alighting. Of course, it is powered by an engine that is Euro-4 compliant and powerful enough to take on various road conditions,” HARI President and Chief Executive Officer Maria Fe Perez-Agudo stated.

The Hyundai HD50 Modern PUV is the go-to vehicle for transport cooperatives in Regions III, V, and VII due to its reliable power, fuel efficiency, toughness, space, comfort, safety, and dependable after-sales service with three-year or 100,000km warranty. The Hyundai HD50 Modern PUV is also gaining fast-growing support from transport cooperatives in NCR and Region IV.

HARI has sold around 800 units of the modern PUV across the Philippines to date.
