Hyundai PH hands over 32 modern jeepneys to Novaliches transport cooperative
MANILA: Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), through authorized dealer Hyundai Trucks and Buses Commonwealth, turned over 32 units of the HD50S Modern PUV Class 2 to NOVADECI Transport Service Cooperative (NTSC), a subsidiary cooperative of the Novaliches Development Cooperative (NOVADECI). Hindi lang natin mabibigyan ng kita ang mga tsuper, masisiguro rin natin ang mas malinis na kapaligiran. At dahil dito, naniniwala kami na ito rin ay pangmatagalan (We heard that the new jeepney units are fully compliant with the requirements of the Philippine National Standards and the PUV Modernization Program of the Department of Transportation or DOTR. With this, the drivers will not only earn more income, but we can also ensure that the environment is protected. Because of this, we believe that the new jeepney units will be good for long-term use).”
NOVADECI Board of Directors Chair Leonisa Fausto expressed her gratitude to Hyundai and other partners for their support in the project. She hopes that this will inspire not only the members of NOVADECI, but also the entire transportation sector in the Philippines.

With the recent launch of the HD48 GT Modern PUV, HARI is confident that this new addition to their lineup of people movers will build on Hyundai’s current success in the transport sector. Since the announcement of its intention to support the government’s PUV Modernization Program in 2017, HARI has seen a significant increase in market share in the commercial vehicle industry, thanks to transport cooperatives that considered Hyundai as their preferred PUV brand.
HARI was able to sell over 200 units of Modern PUVs to various transportation cooperatives around the country this year, assisting in the advancement of mass mobility programs in Ilocos Norte, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Cavite, Bulacan, and Tacloban, to name a few.
