Hyundai PH turns over 15 HD50S units in Sorsogon for PUV modernization

MANILA: Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI) turned over 15 units of HD50S Modern PUVs to the Bulusan Transport Service Cooperative (BULTRASCO) this April. 

With the theme “Sulong at Sama-Sama sa Isang Adhikain para sa Modernong Transportasyon na Napapanahon,” the event started at the Sorsogon Integrated Terminal Exchange (SITEX) in Sorsogon City.

In SITEX, a short send-off program was held, which was followed by a motorcade, a formal turnover at Bulusan Terminal, an hour away from the provincial capital. The HD50S units were provided by HARI through Hyundai Trucks and Buses Alabang. 

The new Hyundai Modern PUV units are earmarked to serve the coastal towns of Bulusan, Barcelona, Gubat, and Sorsogon City. HARI boasted its PUVs are efficient, comfortable, safe, and
environmental-friendly. 

BULTRASCO is the fourth transport cooperative beneficiary of the government's PUV modernization program in the entire Bicol Region. In 2020, a fleet of 23 Hyundai Modern PUVs was turned over to the Tabaco-Legazpi Transport Cooperative (TALETRANSCO) of Albay province.

This latest development serves as another achievement for HARI’s continuing support for the government's Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP) in the Bicol region. 

Since the inception of the PUVMP in 2017, HARI has been a firm supporter of the national goal to modernize transportation even at the height of the pandemic. In 2021, the company turned over close to 500 modern PUV units to various local transport cooperatives across the country. This year, HARI aims to touch base with more key cities and provinces.
