The said PUVs are powered by a 4JH1-TC Blue Power Diesel engine that dishes out some 104 horsepower with 230 Newton-meters of torque.
Per IPC, the Isuzu NLR77’s powertrain setup is ideal for transporting heavy loads and numerous passengers while still offering decent fuel efficiency.
“We are proud to be part of LSTSMPC’s journey toward modernizing public transport. As always, our focus remains on delivering the best aftersales service to ensure our customers’ operations remain smooth and reliable,” Isuzu Manila Branch Head Art Silvestre noted.
Built to meet the Philippine National Standard guidelines, the Isuzu NLR77 boasts several features that befit its role as a public transport vehicle. It is built with a Class 2 body configuration fabricated by Centro Manufacturing, an air-conditioning system provided by Country Cool, and an Automated Fare Collection System powered by BEEP.
In addition, IPC has a robust aftersales service and readily available spare parts — a critical factor in LSTSMPC’s decision to expand its fleet with Isuzu vehicles.

“We trust Isuzu because of its strong aftersales support to their customers. Parts availability is critical to our operations, and with Isuzu, we can be assured of minimal downtime for our units. Their service costs are reasonable, and their extensive service packages give us confidence in our decision,” LSTSMPC General Manager Arcadio Inso said.
