MMDA to prohibit buses, trucks from passing Quezon Avenue flyover U-turn slot starting this weekend

MANILA: The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will prohibit buses and trucks from passing the U-turn slot under Quezon Avenue starting June 22, 2024.

On that note, only light vehicles will be allowed to pass the U-turn slot this coming Saturday.
The aforementioned activity — the MMDA pointed out — is part of the Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region’s on-going project of retrofitting and strengthening of permanent bridges, including the Epifanio de los Santos (EDSA) Quezon Avenue flyover.
Affected buses and trucks are advised to take the following alternate routes:
From EDSA Southbound:
- Left turn to Quezon Avenue
- Left at Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago Avenue (formerly Agham Road)
- Left at North Avenue
- To Mindanao Avenue or EDSA
From EDSA Northbound:
- Straight towards North Avenue
- Take a U-turn in front of Quezon City Academy
