PilipinasAuto provides free shuttle service for frontliners
MANILA: Pilipinas Autogroup, Inc. (PilipinasAuto), local distributor of Tata, and now set to debut China-headquartered commercial and passenger vehicle brand Dongfeng, extends a helping hand to frontliners during Luzon's enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
In cooperation with the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Office of the Vice President, PilipinasAuto made available several units of its yet-to-be-launched Dongfeng Class 2 and 3 modern public utility vehicles (PUVs). The activation seeks to offer additional means of transportation for health frontliners.
Two routes have been identified:
Route 1: SM Masinag to Philippine General Hospital. Will pass by other hospitals within the area such as St. Luke’s Medical Center, National Children’s Hospital and others.
Route 2: SM San Jose Del Monte to SM Fairview, with stops at several hospitals such as North Caloocan Doctors Hospital, Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial and others.
In a release, PilipinasAuto said it "wishes to express its support and gratitude for the untiring sacrifices and dedication of all the frontliners. The company is committed in not only providing quality vehicles but is also working hard towards becoming a responsible corporate citizen always ready to respond and contribute for the best of the nation."
