The senatorial aspirant made the claim during e-Mobility Proof of Concepts event last December 28.In his opening remarks at the e-Mobility Proof of Concepts, the former Ilocos Sur governor (who is the LCS Group of Companies chair) expressed firm belief that electrified jeepneys could revolutionize the country’s public transportation.
“This marks the beginning of a sustainable and innovative future for the Philippines. By adopting electric jeepneys, we aim to create a positive environmental impact and enhance the daily lives of Filipinos,” Singson mentioned.
Aside from him, the event was also attended by LCS Group Vice Chair Richelle Louise Singson, E-Mon Company Korea Chief Executive Officer Korea Young-Jin Joo, Korea Automotive Technology Institute (KATECH) Director Jong Gwan Rah, E-Mon Korea Director Ahn Jae-Bum, and LCSC E-Mon Operations Manager Jinhee Kim.
For her part, the younger Singson (who is an Ako Ilocano Ako party-list representative) noted the importance of cross-border collaboration.
“This initiative is a testament to how cooperation can address urban mobility challenges. Your work sets a benchmark for innovation and sustainability,” she remarked.
Meanwhile, Rah shared his insights into micro-EV, proof-of-concept processes, and their role in fostering fair and sustainable mobility.
“Our goal is to promote fairness and innovation in the future of transportation, ensuring these advancements benefit all sectors of society,” Rah emphasized.
The event showcased numerous electric-vehicles, their sleek modern design, and eco-friendly features.
“Let us continue working together for a sustainable and collective future,” the elder Singson concluded.
