Tacloban construction firm gets 4 Dongfeng dump trucks

MANILA: Pilipinas Autogroup, Inc. (PilipinasAuto), authorized distributor of Dongfeng buses and trucks in the country, brought four units of the Dongfeng K23W 10-wheeler dump truck through its official dealer Dongfeng Elite Taclobanto to One Myrna Construction, a company located in Tacloban, Leyte.

The Dongfeng truck units are aimed at boosting productivity rural development initiatives of One Myrna Construction in the Eastern Visayas region.

PilipinasAuto Vice President and General Manager Art Balmadrid said, “We all know that the pandemic has a backward impact on a global scale but we are confident that the Philippine economy is showing signs of recovery. This can be seen by significant capital investments by key sectors such as the construction business.”

Among the guests attending the turnover were Manuel Salazar of One Myrna Construction, PilipinasAuto Sales Consultant Allan Labita, Service Advisor Jewel Canezal, and Sales Executive Eric Rey Bonifacio. 

The Dongfeng K23W has a capacity of 22 cubic meters. It is powered by a Euro 5-compliant 11-liter six-cylinder Renault common rail diesel engine that generates 1,800Nm of torque and 385hp. The engine is also mated to a 12-speed direct-drive transmission.

PilipinasAuto also offers warranty coverage of one year or 100,000 km (whichever comes first) for this particular truck unit.
