MANILA: The Philippines market has recently been ushered by a number of new auto machines. The range extends from sedan to SUV and in between are present crossover and hatchback segments too. So, now you have a long list to choose from, the market has got it all and the wait is just yours. First, there are three crossovers: Hyundai i20 Cross Sport, Nissan Juke, and Chevrolet Trax. Secondly, there is a made in China sport utility vehicle: Foton Toplander, third is a hatchback from Ford and last is a sedan from Volkswagen that goes by the name Passat.
Out of all the above-mentioned cars, Passat is the only one falling out of the specified price bracket, for obvious reasons of it being a premium-level sedan. Safety side has an edge here, it is equipped with 6 airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist, panic brake assist and the list goes on.
SUV Time...
Though it has a striking similarity with likes of Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Montero, but still it was able to grab some limelight at the recently concluded Foton's Big Show. Being the first passenger vehicle from Foton PH, the car is armed with a bold structure and robust characteristics. On the interior front, it is equipped with features like Trip computer display, multi-functional steering wheel, USB/MP3, and Bluetooth connectivity. Safety side is better than its comparators as it comes with standard features like dual airbags, ABS/EBD, rear parking sensors.
