Believe it or Not, But these Newbie’s of Auto World Cost Less than a Million

MANILA: The Philippines market has recently been ushered by a number of new auto machines. The range extends from sedan to SUV and in between are present crossover and hatchback segments too. So, now you have a long list to choose from, the market has got it all and the wait is just yours. First, there are three crossovers: Hyundai i20 Cross Sport, Nissan Juke, and Chevrolet Trax. Secondly, there is a made in China sport utility vehicle: Foton Toplander, third is a hatchback from Ford and last is a sedan from Volkswagen that goes by the name Passat.

Out of all the above-mentioned cars, Passat is the only one falling out of the specified price bracket, for obvious reasons of it being a premium-level sedan. Still, if you wish to own one, its speculative price is expected to lie between PhP 2,250,000 to PhP 2,750,000. Coming back to below million cars, we will first start with the crossover segment.

Crossover all over...

Hyundai i20 Cross Sport

Hyundai-i20-Cross-Sport

This yet to be launched crossover has already generated a lot of heat in the market. Though, the official Hyundai Philippines page says that the car would be launched in second half of 2015 but we still don't have an extra word on the same. With the expected price tag ranging from PhP 850,000 to Php 1.1 million, it surely is a good buy. This miniature SUV is bestowed with the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language on the outside and on the inside it carries a whole lot of high-end technical features like one touch signal system, multi-functional steering wheel and much more. Hyundai is offering the best-in-class safety features under this range, the car will come armed with a dual airbag, reverse parking sensors, rear defogger, ABS, Impact Sensing Door Lock and steering adaptive parking guideline.

Nissan Juke

Next up is the newly launched car from the house of Nissan. This beauty won many hearts at the event with its yellow outfit, but if you are not a yellow fan, Juke is available in three more shades: pearl white, red alert, and black obsidian. It is a perfect amalgamation of cuteness and ruggedness, and showcases features like V-Motion character design grille, body coloured alloy wheels, and LED signature lamp on the rear end. Inside you'll get a 12-volt power output, integrated control system, and a 2 DIN display audio system. Safety front is equipped with child protection ISO-FIX and Tether, anti-theft system, and SRS dual airbag. All this can be yours at PhP 980,000 and the booking of the same will commence from January 2016.

Chevrolet Trax

Chevrole-Trax

The last car to be showcased in the crossover segment is Chevrolet Trax. The car was recently unveiled at the ongoing series of ‘Motorama’ events around Metro Manila. In addition to the car, Chevrolet Philippines president Atty Albert Arcilla also revealed the prices, Trax LS will go on sale for PhP 998,888, where else Trax LT will cost you PhP 1,218,888. This Crossover is built on a bold and more-SUV like design language. It carries a long list of features both at the exterior and interior front, like daytime running lights, roof rail and 17-inch alloy wheels on the outside. And on the inside, it offers comforting leather seats, steering wheel audio controls, and 7-inch colored Chevrolet MyLink information system. Safety side has an edge here, it is equipped with 6 airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, hill start assist, panic brake assist and the list goes on.

SUV Time...

Foton Toplander

Foton-Toplander

Though it has a striking similarity with likes of Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Montero, but still it was able to grab some limelight at the recently concluded Foton's Big Show. Being the first passenger vehicle from Foton PH, the car is armed with a bold structure and robust characteristics. On the interior front, it is equipped with features like Trip computer display, multi-functional steering wheel, USB/MP3, and Bluetooth connectivity. Safety side is better than its comparators as it comes with standard features like dual airbags, ABS/EBD, rear parking sensors. In addition, Foton is offering a whole lot of optional safety and interior features. As for the price, it is offered for PhP 998,000, lowest in the class.

Hatch is here...

Ford Focus

Though, the car is still under cover, and Ford's official website holds a coming soon tag. Apart from the launch date, rest all information is out, including its exterior design, engine spec, interior comfort, and safety. In looks, it carries a transformed front-end design language with sharp contour lines enhancing its sleek looks. Inside the cabin, you will find a multi-functional steering wheel, USB port, 12-volt power socket, a touch screen display unit and a dual-zone climate control. Built on boron steel safety cage, the car is aimed to protect passengers from any uncertainty; also, it comes equipped with six airbags, allowing you to dive with great confidence and peace of mind.
