Efficient driving at any day of the week with Nissan Kicks e-POWER
With the goal of advancing electrified mobility in the Philippines, Nissan offers its groundbreaking innovation, the Kicks e-POWER–the first locally available Nissan model to be equipped with the e-POWER technology, which combines the brand's existing electric vehicle technology with a gasoline engine. The internal combustion engine's (ICE) sole purpose is to charge the battery, which powers the electric motor that drives the wheels. This technology ensures an efficient and quieter driving experience compared to conventional ICE-powered cars as well as nearly instantaneous power delivery. To share the Kicks e-POWER’s conveniences in city driving, Roy Robles of ZigWheels Philippines recently took it for a spin.
Number coding exemption
Since it is classified as a hybrid vehicle, the Kicks e-POWER is exempted from the number coding scheme as stated in the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA).
In the video, Robles was able to drive the Kicks e-POWER with a plate number ending in 5 in the streets of Makati on a Wednesday without getting flagged down by a traffic enforcer. This benefit makes the vehicle perfect for students and professionals who must go to school or office daily as they can use their vehicle anytime.
Comfortable and fuel-efficient driving with e-Pedal Step
Robles was also clearly impressed by how comfortable the Kicks e-POWER was when he navigated the streets of Pasig to Makati amid the heavily-congested traffic situation — thanks to the vehicle’s e-Pedal Step technology.
With the feature, the driver only needs to use the accelerator pedal to speed up or slow down. As a result, driving in various situations — whether in cities or on highways — becomes more convenient since there is less need to switch from one pedal to another.
Not only does the e-Pedal Step ensure comfortable driving, it also facilitates regenerative braking — juicing up the battery by capturing the kinetic energy lost when the driver tries to slow down. The process aids in gathering more energy for the battery which, in turn, improves fuel efficiency.
If you are looking for a daily driver, the Nissan Kicks e-POWER should be on top of your list as it will let you enjoy the benefits of driving an electrified vehicle and experience exceptional comfort behind the wheel for as low as ₱1.239 million.
