Sturdy, easy-to-clean interior

The Suzuki Swift packs plenty of hand plastics making its interior both durable and easy to clean.

Its dashboard, door trims, and steering wheel are made with reliable plastic components that do not easily wear out. On that note, owners can expect the interior to look good longer even when used as a daily driver. In addition, smudges, specks of dirt, and spills from beverages can easily be wiped clean from these surfaces. There’s also no need to take the Suzuki Swift to the detailer as basic cleaning materials will work well in maintaining the cabin of the compact car.

The plastic parts of the Suzuki Swift also come in matte black which is why it does not attract dirt easily, making it a practical choice for interior car components.

Multi-functional steering wheel

Suzuki packed the Swift with a multi-functional steering wheel that has controls for audio, which makes it easy for drivers to adjust the volume of the infotainment system depending on their preference.

The steering wheel is also D-shaped, which gives it a sporty look that befits its athletic build.

Decent infotainment

And while we’re on the topic of infotainment systems, the Suzuki Swift comes with a decent infotainment system measuring seven inches. It has a touchscreen panel and sends audio to a set of speakers peppered inside the cabin.

The infotainment unit also gets off-line navigation, which is perfect for long weekend drives where one might end up in places where finding a reception could be a challenge.

The infotainment unit however, lacks modern connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Nevertheless, it does have Bluetooth so one can still afford some level of linkage despite the absence of screen mirroring.

Comfortable seats

The Suzuki Swift also gets comfortable seats. And while one won’t find any hint of plush leather here, the fabric upholstery on the seats adheres to the small car’s durable and easy-to-maintain interior.

Cushioning is ample and the fabric material does not easily catch stains. The surface is breathable and the pattern on the material looks surprisingly modern.

Verdict

For an affordable city car, the Suzuki Swift has a decent interior. The materials used are selected with durability in mind and they were selected without sacrificing design and overall aesthetic.

While Suzuki has to give it much-needed update, the Suzuki Swift’s P989,000-price tag still makes it a strong option to car buyers.
