Spec shootout: Toyota Corolla Cross vs. Ford Territory
Despite the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the auto industry, the past couple of months have mercifully seen a steady uptrend in sales. Along with this bit of good news, more car companies have launched new models, albeit digitally.
People on the hunt for a new vehicle, particularly small or mini SUVs/crossovers, have several new nameplates to choose from.
ZIGWHEELS PH takes a closer look at two standout crossovers from Toyota and Ford — launched barely a week apart (August 14 for the Ford Territory and August 20 for the Toyota Corolla Cross).
While the Toyota Corolla Cross is bannered by a hybrid variant, we forego that one for this spec shootout for heightened parity and instead go for the 1.8 G, powered by a petrol engine. On the other hand, we choose the higher-trim Ford Territory Titanium+. These two models are separated by only P15,000.
Let's get to it!
