2015 Frankfurt Motor Show: SsangYong teases two SUV concepts, XAV-Adventure and XLV-Air
JAKARTA: SsangYong is ready to showcase its two concept car at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Korean automaker has released the teaser images of the concept cars, XAV-Adventure and XLV-Air. SsangYong revealed that the concepts are based on the Tivoli platform, a compact SUV model.
The teaser images give a brief idea of the exterior. The XAV-Adventure is a more robust compact SUV and is dedicated to offer maximum performance and holds the ability to go on off-road terrain. The XAV-Adventure holds a tough built quality and equipped with sharp-looking headlights and slim grille in the front. The company claims that the XAV-Adventure resemble the 2010 Korando model and implies its modern interpretation.
The rear of the new XAV-Adventure Concept holds magnificent tail lamps with stylish bumper and roof rails. The company aims to attract the active and young generation buyers.
Meanwhile, the XLV-Air concept is said to be the alternative pre-production version of the Tivoli which shall be launched next year. The front fascia gets swept-back headlights, large bumper and a sculpted hood. The XLV-Air provides decent cabin space for both passengers and luggage. The rear of the XLV-Air Concept comes with wraparound taillamps, prominent bumper and roof rail. Under the hood lies a 1.6-liter gasoline and diesel engines. These two engines will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission.
Additionally, an optional six-speed 'Aisin' automatic transmission gear box may be available with the top variants.
