2016 Renault Talisman Estate Exposed
MANILA: Will this new Talisman be Renault's lucky charm? Because Talisman is an object which is believed to possess some magical powers that bring luck to its owner. Thus, this is like a lucky charm and talking about Renault's Talisman, it will make its first public appearance at 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and will go on sale in 2016. Probably then we will come to know how lucky this Talisman proves itself for the France auto brand.
The Talisman Estate has extra load-carrying capability with same technological features as of sedan. The boot space is of 572 litres, which further extends to 1,700 litres with rear seats folded. The rest of the car is identical to the sedan variant only. The Renault Talisman Estate also comes in top-spec Initiale Paris trim which has exclusive Amethyst Black exterior finish, better soundproofing and laminated side windows, and Nappa leather upholstery.
The two petrol engines available are the Tce150 and Tce200 which are mated to a seven-speed dual clutch EDC automatic transmission. They generate 150 PS and 200 PS of power respectively. The diesel options are dCi110, dCi130, and dCi160 which are paired with six-speed dual clutch EDC gearbox, propel 110,130,160 hp of power respectively.
Talking about safety of the car, Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), electronic handbrake, hands-free parking assist, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Active Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Traffic Sign Recognition with Over Speed Prevention (TSR/OSP), Safe Distance Warning (SDW), front, rear and side parking sensors, reversing camera, and automatic dipped and main beam headlights (AHL) are some worth mentioning here.
