Toyota has followed the legacy of bringing a lot of variants for its vehicles with the new Innova also. With the above list, we'll get 10 variants of this 7 seater MPV in the country and people can for their preferences.
Earlier, it was reported that Toyota has plans to get their plant in the Philippines to churn out the Innova 2016. This makes the car a bit more affordable as localisation of parts always converts the drop in price int higher sales.
The All new Innova carries an all new persona which reflects from each and every bit of it. On the exterior front, the front carrying the bold new headlights with projector ad LED lamps parts away this MPV from the other contenders in the segment. The face now looks mature and tough at the same time, while the rear has gone a bit more-flat than the version on role earlier. Talking about the profile, the last row windows are given a tapered shape which is, however, good when it comes to usability but hampers the proportion in a way. Nothing offensive about the wheel size which has been grown from the last generation to the current 16-inch and 17-inch ones, making the vehicle look a bit on higher side while making it better in stability terms.
Inside the car, the dashboard is all new with everything molded into a new shape. Steering borrowed from new Fortuner with audio controls, wave-shaped designed, touch navigation control, etc are all new for the Innova buyers in the Philippines. Al three rows have ample space for adult passengers and, even the last row has good space thanks to the new longer wheelbase based on Toyota's next-gen IMV platform lineup.
Under the hood, the petrol or gas powered engine is the old, tried and tested 2.0-litre engine generating 136 PS and 183 Nm at peak. The diesel gets a twist with 2.8-litre GD Series engine which now makes 171 PS and 360 Nm at maximum. The same engine however, generates more power and torque in Hilux and Fortuner, but it is tuned to generate less for obvious reasons.
New Generation Innova will definitely turn Toyota's zeal into big deals and we are hoping for really great fruits out of this. So stay tuned for updates on this.
