2017 Toyota 86 Revealed For The Philippines
MANILA: After making a global debut at the 2016 New York International Auto Show, the updated Toyota 86 has now mark its presence in the Philippines. After the launch of Mazda CX-3, and Isuzu introduced the updated D-MAX and now another Japanese automaker has introduced its updated 2-Door coupe. Considering the changes 2017 Toyota 86 include lower stance, wider air intake and tweaked bumper. The faux air vents on the corners are inspired from Lexus LFA and helps in improving the overall aerodynamics. Even the headlights now feature new daytime running lights (DRLs) and the rear has been refreshed with new LED taillights.
Looking at the cabin, the changes can be witnessed here as well. Some features include new steering wheels with audio controls, cruise control, infotainment system which has been upgraded with a capacitive touch screen display audio and smartphone line via WiFi. Even the meter gauges and multi-information display have been also tweaked a bit. The power mill of 2017 Toyota 86 is the 2.0-litre FA20 Boxer engine which delivers 200 PS maximum power and 205 Nm peak torque. Further, it coupled with a 6-speed automatic or manual gearbox.
With Toyota Prius, now we can also expect 2017 Toyota 86 at Toyota’s Booth at the upcoming PIMS 2016. The updated Toyota 86 price starts from PhP 1,764,000 for the base variant and the top variant price reaches upto PhP 1,864,000.
