2019 Isuzu Arctic Trucks T35 Safir is, badass

MANILA: The pickup truck segment is evolving every day. Justifying the fact are the newer and better pickups being rolled out one after the other. However, sometimes, regular pickups are just, too regular, and the pickup nuts desire some insanity. With that being said, we bring you the 2019 Isuzu Arctic Trucks T35 Safir.

The best part? This crazy version of the Isuzu D-Max double cab ain’t no concept and is a fully-fledged production model. Created by Arctic Trucks from the United Kingdom, the T35 Safir with its 35-inch tyres, extended side step boards, Fox Performance Series suspension, and flared wheel arches is one hell of a pickup that can even rival the likes of Ford Ranger Raptor.

On the outside, the pickup comes dipped in Sapphire Blue Mica. Riding on 17x10-inch Hyper Dark diamond cut alloys, the T35 Safir also gets stuff like a silver bed roller cover, a Safir branded aluminium under-guard, and silver rear sports bar. Additional LED lighting on the front bumper and on the roof complete the menacing appearance of this pickup.

Moving to the inside of the pickup, we find a flat-bottom steering wheel clothed with leather. The infotainment system comprises of a 9-inch touchscreen along with 9 speakers. Then there are the leather seats with a Sapphire Blue stitching. A wireless charger and a front camera that helps the driver in dealing with the blind spot are the other notable additions.

Under all the muscle is a 1.9-litre RZ4E motor that is capable enough of producing 166 PS of maximum power at 3,600 rpm and a peak torque of 360 Nm at 2,000-2,500 rpm. The 2019 Isuzu Arctic Trucks T35 Safir comes with a towing capacity of 3.5-ton. Transmission duties are handled by a six-speed automatic transmission unit.

Bursting the bubble now, the 2019 Isuzu Arctic Trucks T35 Safir will be limited to 10 production units only. What’s even worse is that the pickup will only be available in the United Kingdom.

Coming to the price of this beast, while the regular T35 comes with a price tag of £ 38,545 (around Php 2.6 million), the T35 Safir edition is an expensive piece of art at £ 45,000 (roughly Php 3 million). We’d say we’re content with our own Isuzu D-Max, aren’t we?
