2019 K2500 marks Kia’s entry to the commercial vehicle segment

MANILA: Ever since it started working in conjunction with Ayala, Kia seems to have changed its fortunes in the Philippines, in a positive way only. The launches of new vehicles like Soluto provided the South Korean automaker with an opportunity of engaging with customers looking for affordable yet reliable cars.

Moreover, Kia has also launched other new SUVs, crossovers, and sedans such as the Forte, Stinger, and others in the country this year. In the bid to fill the missing pieces and complete the puzzle, Kia has now launched its commercial offering K2500.

There is no denying to the fact that the Kia K series has always been favourite of the Philippine government, MSME’s, NGO’s, and even large corporations. Introduced in different forms, the 2019 Kia K2500 has also arrived in the Philippines in its Karga avatar, which is an 18-passenger commercial vehicle layout of the K2500.

Powering the 2019 Kia K2500 is a 2.5-litre CRDi turbocharged motor that produces a maximum power of 130 PS and 255 Nm of peak torque. The power is then sent to the wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.

For, now Kia is offering the K2500 with 4x2 drive only with 4x4 versions to come out by the end of 2019. Other form factors that the K2500 is available are Cab & Chassis and Closed Van. The 2019 Kia K2500 is Euro-4 compliant and comes with a 3-Year or 110,000-km warranty. Rated payload is 835-kg. Kia is offerings the K2500 with introductory prices until the end of this month, i.e., 30 June 2019.

While you can have the Cab & Chassis layout for an introductory price of Php 810,000, the other two Closed Van and Karga models are available at Php 910,000 and Php 998,000, respectively.
