2020 Honda Jazz gets jazzed up by Modulo for the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon
MANILA: After the 2020 Jazz gets mixed reviews on its debut at the Tokyo Motor Show a few months back, Honda decided to act quickly and pacify the motoring media by unveiling a jazzed up (yes, pun intended) version. The automaker showcased the new car ahead of its unveiling at the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon next month.
The jazzed up Honda Jazz/Fit gets a much needed front grille. It may be a small thing but somehow, the new honeycomb grille and a sharp-cut bumper that features a wider lower grille made the Jazz look more ‘decent’ and even a bit aggressive. The car also gets black highlights around its body for accent. There’s black on the mirror caps, on the lower bumper, on the flanks, black trim element marking the doors’ lower edges, and on the tailgate panel.
It even features a black panel roof with black shark fin antenna. The Honda Jazz Modulo X Concept also features smoked taillights and redesigned rear bumper incorporating a diffuser-like trim and vertical inserts that look like vents. The new 2020 Jazz Modulo will ride on motorsport-inspired black alloy wheels.
The Honda Jazz sibling, the Honda Freed minivan also gets the Modulo X treatment. It features similar upgrades including a spruced-up body kit that features a bolder bumper, side skirts, and a massive roof spoiler with a size typically found in SUVs. The Freed Modulo X also gets the same blank trim elements for highlights.
Besides the Jazz/ Fit and Freed Modulo X concept, also included in Honda’s lineup for the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon are the S2000 20th Anniversary Prototype, 2020 Civic Cyber Night Japan Cruiser, Vezel Modulo X, and other production cars in the company’s pipeline that is having an update.
These cars include the 2020 Civic sedan and hatchback, 2020 Honda S660, an NSX supercar in new Indy Yellow Pearl heritage color, Mugen S660 Concept, N-One Cafe Racer Concept, CR-V Black Edition Custom Concept, and Mugen Fit Prototype. However, no pictures have been released yet for the said cars. But we’ll be sure to update you so keep coming back to our website for more Honda news and 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon updates.
