2021 Hyundai Elantra teased, to debut on March 17
MANILA: The Hyundai Elantra, also known as Avante in some markets around the globe, is preparing to break cover soon. How soon? Well, the highly revisited South Korean will make its debut as soon as on the 17th of March, 2020, at The Lot Studios in West Hollywood, California. Following its debut in the year 1990, the C-segment sedan has become the top-selling model for Hyundai with 13.8 million sales around the world to date. With the update, the sedan is only going to do better than before as it now features a sharp, bold, and muscular design language, brand-new interior with a driver-centric approach, and a range of potent powertrains.
While there is a good week to go for the 17th of March, Hyundai has given us all a hint of the all-new Elantra aka Avante by releasing a teaser video that shows off the sedan's bold exterior. The all-new Hyundai Elantra follows the “Parametric Dynamics" design language and features a coupe-life roofline, sleek LED headlamps flanking a wide grille, wraparound LED taillights with an LED strip running across the boot and joining the two taillamps, chunky alloys, strong shoulder line, and as Hyundai claims, “longer, lower and wider than ever proportions".
The interior of the new Elantra is nothing like the cabin what we see on the outgoing model. Following the “Immersive Cocoon" philosophy, the inside of the all-new Elantra aims at a minimalistic, calm, and driver-centric user experience. A trim piece originating from the centre console and going all the way to the driver side door differentiates the driver's space from that for the passenger. The same trim piece makes its way from under the slim air vents which flaunt red-accents. We will also find the refreshed Elantra to vaunt an all-digital instrument cluster sitting beside the large touchscreen infotainment system. Other notable updates include a stylish & sporty steering wheel and a fresh gear lever.
As for the mechanical bits & pieces, we need to wait until the C-segment sedan breaks cover on the 17th of March at The Lot Studios in West Hollywood, California. The sedan, however, is expected to carry a range of Smartstream petrol-fed engines. Also, we might see a hybrid variant walking out of the Hyundai facilities. Stay tuned to ZigWheels for more updates concerning the 2021 Hyundai Elantra and all other happenings from in and around the automobile space.
