The first model that the brand is expected to sell in the Philippines is the Aion Y.This, after Zigwheels Philippines received photos of several units being offloaded from a truck. The vehicle sightings were captured during the long weekend.

While an announcement has yet to be made pertaining to the brand nor its vehicle’s launching in the country, here are some details of the Aion Y overseas.
The aforementioned crossover measures 4,535 millimeters (mm) long; 1,870 mm wide; and 1,650 mm tall with a 2,750-mm wheelbase.
The exterior’s chiseled look complements the angel wing headlamps, high beltline, boxy wheel wells, and interlinked slim tail lights.
Inside, the Aion Y boasts a 32-color ambient lighting, dual digital screens (10.25-inch cluster gauge and 14.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system), seats that can be fully folded down (which can act double beds if needed), and panoramic sunroof.
Its electric motor can dish out up to 134 horses and as much as 225 Newton-meters of pulling power. Providing its juice is the 63.2 kilowatt-hour lithium-iron phosphate battery that lets it cover 490 kilometers (based on New European Driving Cycle standards).
Further, the Aion Y comes with numerous safety and convenience technologies like anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, electronic stability program, energy-recovering braking system, auto-hold, traction control, cruise control, rear parking sensors, and 360-degree high-definition camera system.
In markets abroad, the vehicle is available in Lucky Gold, Vitality Green, Speedy Silver, Liberty Ash, Elegant Gray, Pure White, and Glamour Black.
The Aion brand is under Guangzhou Automobile Group Company (GAC). In the Philippines, GAC’s distributorship is handled by Astara.
