All-new Hyundai Grand Starex Urban goes official

MANILA: HARI (Hyundai Asia Resources Inc.) brings the 2019 Grand Starex Urban in the Philippines. It is the top-trim variant of the famous Grand Starex series and comes with a price tag of PHP 2,750,000.

A huge update, along with a host of premium features, has been made inside the van. It has a newly designed dashboard and a premium brown leather, both of which form the major highlighting points. And due to its layout, it has a seating capacity of nine occupants. Moreover, the second and the third row have captain’s chair.

The added features take the comfort and convenience to a new level. It features a climate control system, which is available for both the rear and front rows. On the dashboard, the touchscreen infotainment is placed perfectly in the centre. A larger drop-down LCD screen is offered for the rear passengers.

The new range-topping variant of the Grand Starex comes with a very upscale and urban look. It features a chrome grille that is much more prominent now. New projector headlamps are placed on each side of the grille. It rides on the 17-inch wheels and the exterior is also available with a two-tone paint scheme.

The 2019 Grand Starex Urban derives its power from a four-cylinder 2.5-litre common rail diesel along with a variable geometry turbocharger. This setup is capable of pumping out a maximum of 175 PS power and the peak torque sticks at 450 Nm. The maximum power and torque come at a rev range of 3,600 rpm and 2,000 - 2,250 rpm respectively. The produced power is sent to the rear wheels with the help of a five-speed automatic transmission.
