All Peugeot models to be available with electrified powertrains starting 2023
MANILA: Starting in 2023, all Peugeot models will be available with electrified powertrains. A new hybrid powertrain will be added for the Peugeot 3008 and Peugeot 5008, and the company will offer the best range yet on the popular Peugeot e-208. In addition, the e-308 and e-308 SW will arrive in 2023.

This hybrid powertrain is composed of a new-generation 136hp PureTech petrol engine mated to a new electrified dual-clutch gearbox and a 48V battery. This technology provides 15% less fuel consumption and additional torque at low rpm. It also allows for zero-emission city driving for up to one kilometer at low speeds.
With the launch of the new e-308 and e-308 SW next year, Peugeot will be one of the first European carmakers to offer a fully electric estate car. By offering both hatchback and station wagon body styles, Peugeot will be able to satisfy all the demands of C-segment customers who want to make the switch to zero-emission mobility.
These new models, which feature a new, incredibly powerful electric motor producing 156bhp, were developed to deliver dynamic performance and driving pleasure at their core.
The e-308 and e-308 SW establish a new standard for electric efficiency, achieving 7.8km/kWh, a record for C-segment electric vehicles, and a range of 399km. All the upgrades in motor and battery, aerodynamics, weight reduction with the new EMP2 platform, and the reduction of frictional losses have all contributed to this performance.
Peugeot has also announced the upcoming release of an e-408 along with the plug-in hybrid versions of its dynamic fastback. The e-408 will complete the fully electric Peugeot lineup that already includes the e-208, e-2008, e-308, e-308 SW, e-Rifter, and e-Traveller.
The e-208 will also have some major upgrades in 2023, specifically with the introduction of the new motor found in the e-308. The maximum power output of the e-208 will rise by 15% to 156bhp from 136bhp. Efficiency has also been improved, giving the e-208 a 10.5% increase in range, rising to 399km.
Peugeot e-208 has led the electric B-segment car sales in Europe since the start of 2022.
Peugeot has also formed a particularly extensive plug-in hybrid lineup with the goal of providing an electric mobility solution that satisfies the needs of all uses. Customers seeking hatchbacks, station wagons, or SUVs can all be accommodated by Peugeot, and each of these vehicles remarkably combines the appeal, emotion, and quality that made Peugeot successful.
The 308 and 308 SW plug-in hybrids come in two power levels, 180bhp or 225bhp, and deliver up to 65km equivalent all-electric range (EAER).
Peugeot 3008 also offers a selection of rechargeable hybrid engines, with either 225bhp or 300bhp and all-wheel drive, with up to 64km EAER without the use of a combustion engine.
Last but not the least, the Peugeot 508 is offered as a Fastback and an SW, with a 360bhp sports engine and four-wheel drive for the Peugeot Sport Engineered versions, or a 225bhp plug-in hybrid engine.
The Peugeot 9X8 Hybrid hypercar, which has been competing in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) since July 2022, puts Peugeot’s plug-in hybrid technology to the test on the racetrack.
