The Aston Martin DBX707 is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that generates 707ps and 900Nm of torque. The first DBX707 customer car was completed, and was inspected by the Secretary of State for Wales, Simon Hart MP and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Wales David Davies MP.

Proudly hand built at the British ultra-luxury manufacturer’s facility in St Athan, Wales, UK, the DBX707 provides immense power with its signature 707ps, maximum speed of 193mph (310kph), and zero-to-100kph time of 3.1 seconds.
More than 100 new skilled automotive technicians have been recruited by Aston Martin at St Athan to support the ramp-up of DBX707 production, with the DBX model the first Welsh-built production car for almost 50 years.
Aston Martin Lagonda Chief Operating Officer Michael Straughan commented: “As the first car delivered through the product development cycle under the leadership of Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin Lagonda, DBX707 is a symbol of the new era for Aston Martin and the brand’s ability to combine ultra-luxury and high-performance.
Meanwhile, Secretary of State for Wales Simon Hart, said: “I want Wales to be a highly attractive location for cutting-edge automotive technologies and the UK Government will continue to work to secure and support the investment of companies, like Aston Martin, as they drive economic growth and create jobs.”
To handle the 707ps and 900Nm of torque from its four-liter V8, the DBX707 is fitted with carbon ceramic brakes. These brake discs, which measure 420mm in front and 390mm at the rear and are held by six-piston calipers, result in a 40.5-kilograms reduction in unsprung weight. The hydraulic sizing and booster tune of the braking system have been modified, resulting in better pedal feel and braking response for more precision and driver confidence.
Improved brake cooling is obtained by taking air from both the main cooling intake and the underfloor, with high performance brake pads giving great friction consistency throughout a wide temperature range.
The DBX707 comes standard with 22-inch wheels, with optional 23-inch alloys available in textured black or satin black with diamond turned highlights. The large-diameter tire offers superior steering response, better primary body control, and faster lap times.
The air suspension system is vital in the DBX707’s outstanding handling. Following the footsteps of the DBX V8, which is widely considered as the best-handling SUV on the market, the DBX707 is fitted with a chassis tuned specifically for its demanding requirements.
To improve body control and steering response, the DBX707’s suspension has better damper valving and dynamic spring volume switching recalibration. The electronic power steering system has also been tweaked to provide the driver a better steering feel, with more effort build-up off-center to give them a better sense of the increasing cornering loads and available grip.
The DBX707 makes it easier for the driver to adjust the car’s yaw with natural pedal or steering inputs and to control the heave, pitch, and body roll. The eARC (electronic active roll control) system has been tweaked in more detail, with new parameters that improve the car’s agility and dynamic balance.
