Audi PH introduces limited-edition RS 6 Avant GT

MANILA: Audi Philippines has launched the RS 6 Avant GT.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • How much horsepower and torque can the Audi RS 6 Avant GT produce?

The Audi RS 6 Avant GT can produce up to 630 horsepower and 850 Newton-meters of torque.
  • What is the body style of the Audi RS 6 Avant GT?

The Audi RS 6 Avant GT assumes a wagon body style.
  • The said model joins the German marque’s local arm as a limited edition wagon model with only 660 units ever made. It promises stand-out styling, powerful raw performance, and sharp handling.

For the unaware, the GT is a pepped-up version of the current Audi RS 6 Avant. Placed under its long muscular hood is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 capable of producing up to 630 horsepower (hp) and 850 Newton-meters of torque.

With that amount of power and torque, Audi Philippines says the RS 6 Avant GT can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) in just 3.3 seconds. Additionally, it makes use of the brand’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system, ensuring enhanced traction in a variety of driving situations.

For reference, the regular RS 6 Avant uses a similar engine setup, but it has a slightly less powerful tune of 600 horsepower. It also has a slightly slower zero to 100 kph time of 3.6 seconds.

Further performance enhancements on the limited-edition wagon include a self-locking center differential for better power distribution. Aerodynamic enhancements for the vehicle were also provided via several lightweight carbon fiber elements, a single-frame and air intake, as well as a pass-through roof edge spoiler.

On the visuals side, the RS 6 Avant GT was dressed up with a revamped rear diffuser. It also sits on a set of GT-exclusive 22-inch wheels.

The interior of the high-performance five-seater wagon, meanwhile, offers occupants RS full carbon fiber bucket seats and a Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system. The car likewise features a flat-bottom couture leather steering wheel and the customizable Audi Virtual Cockpit for its driver.

“Our commitment to the Philippine market is unwavering, and the arrival of the RS 6 Avant GT is a testament to our dedication to delivering exceptional vehicles that meet the desires of our customers,” Managing Director of Audi Philippines Paolo Brambilla said.

“This powerful and luxurious model reflects our brand’s heritage of performance and innovation. We are excited to provide our local enthusiasts with a car that not only embodies cutting-edge technology but also offers an unparalleled driving experience,” Brambilla added.

As of this writing, Audi Philippines has not revealed the pricing and the full specifications of the RS 6 Avant GT. The brand also didn't say how many units of the limited edition wagon were allocated for the local market.

As such, parties who are interested in the high-performance wagon model should visit the brand’s dealerships located in Greenhills, San Juan, Bonifacio Global City, or Alabang.
